President Donald J. Trump “Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries! I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper. May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues.

DONALD J. TRUMP
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”

National Bureau of Concession (NBC) Director General Hanson Kiazolu writes....

Let's be clear and allow the University of Liberia to focus on improving itself.
The university has received more government funding compared to many other government educational institutions supported by public finances. Despite this, the University of Liberia frequently requests additional funds beyond its allocated budget. When these extra requests are not for urgent repairs or sanitation, they are typically for salaries, which is unfair. As a higher education institution, UL should have the expertise to plan effectively and manage within its approved budget. According to the Public Financial Management Law, creating new programs mid-fiscal year to justify additional funding is not allowed unless there is a state emergency. Requesting $500,000 and $1.7 million above UL fiscal appropriations are significant and highlight the need for structural reform at UL especially in her financial management hub. Without addressing these issues, the university’s financial mismanagement will continue, especially as the government struggles to support it adequately. In Fiscal Year 2025, many sanitation issues were addressed by external parties, including speaker Koon, UL generated cash from entrance fees, and tuitions collected which are not reflected in government fiscal revenue projections. Now the question is, was the entire $36 million budget for 2025 solely spent on salaries?
The claim that the CDC offered free tuition is misleading; students at the UL were still paying fees during CDC's administration. Furthermore, questions remain about how many buses were actually purchased for students and teachers since everything was free. This type of propaganda is baseless. The current government has been settling debts owed to WAEC for free national exam propaganda spewed by the then regime. Therefore, it’s time for some to focusing on building a 40-story party headquarters and exit the paradigm of government affairs. The people are moving forward while others cling to the past. JNB-JKK strong.

Monsterrado County Student Union Criticizes Senate Endorsement of National County Sports Meet; Says Senate Neglect Key Bills

MONROVIA- Montserrado County Student Union has accused the Liberian senate of deliberately ignoring, sidelining, and burying existing laws.

According to MONSU, the senate has deliberately ignored key national laws including the Student Loan Act and the National Service Program.

MONSU claimed members of the National Legislature are holding back on passing bills that could positively impact the larger Liberian society.

The student group described as unfortunate the senate endorsement of a bill seeking to establish a National County Sports Meet as a semi-autonomous agency accusing the Senate of neglecting key bills that have a positive impact on the education sector.

MONSU in a press statement issued Friday December 19, 2025 strongly condemned the Senate action describing it as intellectually dishonest, morally bankrupt, and politically irresponsible referring to the endorsement of the National County Sport Meet bill as an affront to national conscience.

According to the student group, is troubling to see lawmakers display urgency in legalizing entertainment, yet show criminal indifference toward enforcing laws designed to build human capital.

The Montserrado County Student Union added although the Student Loan Program and the National Service Program are already a law, the continued non-implementation is not an accident; but a state-sponsored neglect.

In furtherance, MONSU demands full enforcement and funding of the Student Loan Act warning against excuses, bureaucratic sabotage and or political delay.

MONSU at the same time demands immediate operationalization of the National Service Program, as already mandated by law, compulsory establishment of a National County Academic Meets Committee at the conclusion of the ongoing County Sports Meet.

We vehemently condemn the Liberian Liberian Senate's endorsement of a bill seeking to establish a National County Sports Meet by law while deliberately ignoring, sidelining, and effectively burying existing laws that mandate the Student Loan Act and the National Service Program, MONSU press statement indicated.

MONSU also wants the National County Academic Meets Committee to be set-up inclusive of Students grouping, Veterans academician and legally empowered to supervise and institutionalize.

They named National Science Fairs,Spelling Bees, Quizzing, Debates, STEM and innovation competitions as areas that should be focused for academic excellence among young Liberians.

There must be NO conclusion, grand finale, or ceremonial glorification of the County Sports Meet unless and until the National County Academic Meets Committee is constituted and publicly announced, the statement emphasized.

MONSU noted that anything short of attention to the education sector is state propaganda masked as development adding that history does not forgive leaders who entertained a nation into ignorance.

The press statement pointed out that governments that fear educated citizens prefer festivals over faculties, cheers over classrooms, and distraction over discipline warning that MONSU will not be silent while the future is traded for spectacle.
