It is with heavy and saddened hearts that the Office of the Chief of Corrections announces the passing of Retired Director of Prisons (ai), Mr. Russel Molapo, who passed away on 10th June 2026.
The remains of Mr. Molapo will be laid to rest at Lisemeng II (America), Hlotse, Leribe, on 27 June 2026.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his family, friends, and former colleagues find comfort during this difficult time.

Acting Chief of Corrections Mr Matingoe Phamotse inspect a newly built house for layers project at Female Correctional Institution. The building is expected to house three thousand layers which will mark a major milestone in a self-reliance initiative by LCS.
