TENDER BID OPENING – ZONES 6 & 7

Lesotho Lowlands Water Development Project Phase II (LLWDP II) officially opened tender bids for the Design and Construction of the Weir, Raw Water Intake and Pump Station, Raw Water Transmission Main, Water Treatment Works (WTW), and Clear Water Transmission Main (CWTM) serving Zones 6 & 7, Mafeteng and Mohale's Hoek respectively.

The proposed works include:

Construction of a weir and raw water intake structure;
Development of a raw water pump station;
Installation of the Raw Water Transmission Main;
Construction of the Water Treatment Works (WTW);
Installation of the Clear Water Transmission Main (CWTM); and
Connection to command reservoirs serving Mafeteng and Mohale's Hoek.

This milestone marks another important step towards improving water security and expanding access to reliable potable water services for communities in Zones 6 & 7.
