The second sitting of the Project Board for the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF)-funded Supporting Community-Driven Violence Reduction and Sustainable Peace in Lesotho Project was held in Ribaneng, Mafeteng, on 26 June 2026.
As the highest-level governance and oversight body of the project, the Project Board provides strategic leadership, policy direction, and oversight to ensure that project implementation remains aligned with national priorities and development objectives.
The meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Home Affairs and Police and the United Nations Resident Coordinator. It was attended by the Minister of Law and Justice, civil society organizations, and members of the Ribaneng community. Their participation underscored the strong partnership between the Government of Lesotho, the United Nations system, civil society, and local communities, who are the primary beneficiaries of the project.
During the sitting, the Board successfully reviewed project implementation progress against planned outputs and outcomes based on the semi-annual progress report. It also examined key implementation challenges and risks, together with proposed mitigation measures.
