PAC probes government procurement

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has lined up two oversight hearings this week focusing on procurement processes at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship, as well as the operations and financial management of Queen 'Mamohato Memorial Hospital (QMMH).
The committee will tomorrow look into procurement at the local government ministry before turning its attention to QMMH on Wednesday.
The hearings form part of the PAC's ongoing probe into government expenditure as it seeks to promote accountability and ensure transparency in the management of public funds.

Lesotho to host ESARBICA meeting and training

The National Library and Archives will host a two-day Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (ESARBICA) Board of Directors Meeting and the ESARBICA Archives and Records Management Training Programme, starting from Monday.
The training is designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of archives and records management professionals. It will cover digital records management, leadership, strategic management and professional practice.
The ceremony, which will be attended by participants include professionals from 16 ESARBICA member countries across Eastern and Southern Africa, will be officiated by the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, Kanono Ramashamole.
