Your body needs this more than you think… just a few minutes a day 🤍
1️⃣ Counter Down Dog (shoulder opener)
Place your hands on the counter
✔️ Hips back, spine long
✔️ Don’t collapse in your shoulders, bring them up towards your ears
✔️ Relax your neck and breathe
2️⃣ Supported chest opener
Sit or position yourself so your upper back is supported on the counter edge, interlace your hands behind your head and gently open the chest
✔️ Actively lift the chest upwards
✔️ Let your chest open naturally
✔️ Don’t hinge from your lower back
3️⃣ Side body opener
✔️ Reach long through your side body
✔️ Keep both feet grounded
✔️ Breathe into both sides — the stretched and the contracted side
Not every yoga practice has to happen on a mat… use what you have and get creative. Sometimes we just have to improvise.
I mentioned holding for 1 minute in the video, but if you can stay longer — do it. Build up gradually and give your body time to adapt.
