A peak at the emotions captured at the 2-year anniversary throwdown.
It’s captivating to be around enthusiasts that have a burning desire for their craft, regardless of their line of work. I’ve been fortunate enough to get acquainted with local athletes and coaches from various explosive sports that possess this admirable passion.
Whether part-time or full-time, gifted or merely dedicated, they have a common inner drive. An incontestable drive that could easily be mistaken to be fueled by financial gain or Olympic status. Rather, it’s self-fullfilment wrapped in the purity of a small child and the unselfishness of a mother. I’ve picked their brain not only for their training methodology but more importantly for their approach to a seemingly disciplined, fulfilling and happy lifestyle.
Why would someone stubbornly run 100m in a straight line, walk back and repeat the effort multiple times a day, a week, a month, a year? Even more mind boggling is why a coach would stand by and look at it day in and day out. Especially if this activity is not financially lucrative and the chances of becoming a world champion are slim. But after reading the eye-opening insights of the interviewed athletes in the Explosive Mode book, I promise you will understand.
I hope their input will help you discover the competitiveness, the fun and ultimately the well-being that sports can provide. My intention is to help you satisfy the primal human need for physical movement while getting stronger and faster at the same time.
This book is for you that find long jogs and gym machines repetitive, static and flat out boring. You are undecided if you should sweat through that necessary evil that supposedly compensates for a delicious calorie surplus, or if you should just swallow your self-esteem and shop online for bigger pants. Well, you have to do neither.

4 Steps to Lose Body Fat for Good:
What truly drives lasting fat loss for high-achieving businessmen and businesswomen rarely matches textbook theory. The most efficient, optimal protocols often fail in real life. For sustainable results, I advise against chasing perfection in training and meal plans. I have witnessed this across clients of every age. The flawless program becomes the greatest barrier, not the solution.
If sheer mental toughness were enough to follow the strictest path, you would not be carrying extra weight today. Simply moving more and eating less sounds straightforward, yet it proves brutally difficult despite all the self-affirmations and firm pinky promises. You have probably tried it multiple times before.
To lose body fat successfully, you must sidestep those mental traps and adopt a more practical, unorthodox approach. Here are the four steps that deliver not necessarily the fastest results, but the most enduring ones.
1. Use exercise to lower stress and enhance sleep.
You might assume exercise matters mainly for burning calories and building muscle that continues to torch energy at rest. For the driven workaholic, however, its greatest value is psychological.
Regular physical activity reduces baseline cortisol levels and triggers the release of endorphins, creating a calmer state of mind. Better sleep follows naturally, and quality sleep acts as a powerful fat-burning ally. Research shows that when dieters get adequate sleep, a much larger proportion of their weight loss comes from fat rather than lean tissue. In one study, participants who slept well lost more than twice as much fat compared to those who were sleep-restricted. Another found that combining moderate sleep (six to eight hours) with lower stress levels significantly improved the odds of successful weight loss.
