Excellent day (early morning?!) for our brand ambassador and whole Latvian orienteering community. Finishing 4th just one second behind bronze medal which is new best ever for Latvia 🇱🇻 in and highest ranking result for our team in last decade.

Here is what Sandra has to say:

“My goal for the World Games sprint was to finish in TOP6, so I am really glad to finish 4th. But I knew that on a good day, if everything goes as planned, a medal would be possible. Seeing how close I was to it and that it was my own mistake towards the end of the course that didn’t allow me to step on the podium, l must admit that there is a bittersweet feeling.
Anyway, this was one of the most interesting and challenging sprint courses I have ever ran, especially because no artificial fences were needed to make the courses difficult. It was one of those terrains that make you love this sport.”
