Remembering Latvian folklore and ornaments. On this longbow "Firebird" we painted the historical belt of Lielvarde. It is most magnificent Latvia’s ethnographic belt which symbols are twined around with countless legends. In the past the belt was worn by women and men begird around the waist in celebrations. As time went by functional, designfull belt of Lielvarde became glorified symbol of Latvian nation, which main task unfortunately now was only to hang in shelves of museums gathering dust and visitor glances.
