Senator Risa Hontiveros should read the handwriting on the wall: her blind ambition to run for President as the challenger to Vice President Inday Sara Duterte is being mocked and ridiculed.

She doesn't have a Chinaman's chance, to borrow the phrase, to succeed in this aspiration. See? She's actively promoting herself as the standard bearer for the Marcos, Jr. forces in combination with the Pinklawans, leftists and the dregs of Philippine politics. But the group she seeks to represent gave a ho-hum reaction to her loud suggestion.

The statement of ML party list Rep. Leila de Lima is an excellent illustration. She has ignored Risa's gambit, and instead pushed the name of former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo to fill the slot.

That is a clear and loud rejection of her ambition. It is a "dunk-in-your-face" rejection from a political ally. Risa Hontiveros is unacceptable even among politicians with a shared hatred for the name Duterte.

The idea simply sucks!

There's nothing wrong with dreaming to become President. But that ambition must be anchored with a firm footing on the ground.

Otherwise, it becomes a hallucination.

In the case of Senator Risa Hontiveros, it is a stillborn ambition: dead upon conception.

The avalanche of laugh emojis is a clear indicator.
