The SEEDS Project is dedicated to enhancing the resilience of the cereal supply chain in the Mediterranean region, focusing on Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, and Jordan. By reintroducing ancient grains, SEEDS aims to promote agricultural biodiversity, reduce reliance on a limited range of crops, and support sustainable food systems. Through scientific research, adaptability testing, and pest resistance analysis, the project provides evidence-based recommendations to strengthen the sector and drive innovation.

🌱 As part of this initiative, the Cluster Menara and its Caiac Caiac play a key role in prototyping new value-added products derived from ancient grains. Our mission is to support the valorization of the cereal supply chain, encourage innovation, and develop sustainable solutions for the agro-food industry. From November 26 to 28, 2024, our team participated in a specialized academy in Egypt dedicated to financial management and sustainability. This training enriched our understanding of managing the financial dynamics of clusters, especially given their inherent challenges.

We acquired valuable knowledge on monetizing services, responding strategically to project calls, and aligning our members’ needs with market demands. This experience marks a pivotal step in strengthening our cluster’s impact and resilience.
