What is Graphic Design?

Graphic design is the art of using nonverbal methods to communicate a message or an idea. Images, pictures, videos, and paintings are all forms of graphic design. However, using text is also a key aspect. That’s correct; writing is a form of graphic design as well! Writing, coupled with an agreeable backdrop and perhaps an image of some sort, is a very effective means of persuasion and nonverbal communication that we use frequently in everyday life. That which cannot be accomplished with only an image can incorporate text to make a message stronger. Such is the secret to graphic design.
