Stray Aid Montenegro

Last night, a Malinois was found with a 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸 at @13.jul_plantaze

Volunteers rushed to save him, but the security staff tried to stop them, treating both the dog and rescuers aggressively.

The animal activists called the 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 as the situation escalated, and shockingly, the police 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, accusing the activists of trespassing and completely ignoring the suffering dog.

The dog would be taken to the 𝘃𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 '𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿' 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱, and then would be returned to his abusers. The dog was not microchipped and his 'owners' refused any help.

It was only after the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 that the dog was finally brought to the clinic. During the operation, the activists had to 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿, preventing the 'owner' from taking the dog back, something the authorities allowed. The dog was ultimately placed in the azil.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀. 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

As long as abusers face no real consequences, nothing will improve. When people can chain, neglect, breed, or dump dogs without punishment, the cycle simply continues. This is why the stray dog problem will never be solved under the current system. Without enforcement, without accountability, and without real penalties, cruelty is allowed to repeat itself, and animals keep paying the price.

In a system that too often protects power instead of the powerless, these activists showed extraordinary courage. When institutions failed, they stood their ground. If we don’t stand up for dogs, no one will. Please follow them, support them, and show them that they are not alone.

Thanks to a wonderfully gentle groomer , Mija’s haircut took a full 2 hours and turned into a calm, positive experience. The result? A glow-up that makes her look years younger ✨️

Mija was taken off the streets of Bar years ago after a severe car accident. She turns 10 next year, is calm, gentle, obsessed with food, and a certified belly-rub lover.

She’s available for adoption and needs a home without stairs due to her past injuries and age.

Mija lives indoors at her foster home in Montenegro and is already happy. Her happiness shows what every dog deserves: warmth, safety, and life inside a home.

🎄 The holidays are a time for gratitude, love, and giving to those who need it most. After years of rescuing, we see the same reality many rescue organizations face: some dogs are always left behind; the old, the sick, the scared, the ones with challenges. Yet they deserve warmth, safety, and love just as much as any other dog 🐾🤍

Right now, the majority of our dogs live outdoors in foster care. Free and safe, but still in the cold. They have hay for warmth, but no soft blankets to rest on. Our dream is a shelter where every dog can be inside, warm, pampered, and truly cared for.

Keeping our 25 rescue dogs fed and safe costs €𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸, and often we pay from our own pockets, money we wish we could invest in building their 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿.
