ABOUT HOTEL SS AUNGBAN

The idea behind Hotel SS Myanmar was turned into reality in February 2015, when the hotel was first established. After months of hard work, we finally had our grand opening in April 2016. Another great achievement took place in April 2016, when our hotel became a member of Myanmar Hotel & Tourism. Ever since, we have opened our doors to travelers from all over Myanmar and abroad, and we look forward to welcoming you as well!

Location and surroundings:
Our Hotel is only a short 25 minute drive from Heho Airport, which is very well connected to Yangon and Mandalay.
We are proud to be located close to so many beautiful attractions in Myanmar. In the East, only an hour drive away, you can visit the wonderful Inle Lake,Ywa Ngan Blue Pond, Lwaing Kaw Town, and Taunggyi City (Capital of Shan State).
Inle lake is the second largest lake in Myanmar, and is home to a large variety of animal species, including some that can’t be found anywhere else in the world! You can learn about traditional trades from locals, from silversmiths to weavers, all while traveling from village to village by boat. A must-see in the area are the ancient stupas in Indein village, where the the view is absolutely breathtaking.
In the North, also one hour away, you can visit the Pindaya Caves and city. The southernmost Pindaya cave is best known for its interior which contains over 8000 images of Buddha, some dating to the late 18th century. Kalaw City and Myinmahti Cave are also very close, only a 15 minute drive away. Enjoy a day of trekking and get inspired by the natural beauty of the surroundings. Stop for a delicious meal to enjoy local food, see how the locals live and work in their hill villages or stop by a market and check out the fresh produce. If you are up for the challenge, trekking will certainly give you the right boost!

Rooms:
Our hotel has a total of 87 rooms, which include 39 Superior rooms (twin only), 36 Deluxe rooms (twin/double) and 12 en-suite rooms (double only). Our rooms are fully equipped with everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Facilities:
We offer complimentary access for our in-house guests to the swimming pool and gym. We also offer Wi-Fi internet throughout our hotel and in every room, so our guests can keep on top of their work and in touch with their family and friends at all times.
Complimentary facilities also include air-conditioning and heating, hot and cool shower, international satellite TV channels and internal telephone, as well as tea and coffee in every room for a fresh start every morning.
If you’re traveling in a large group of 25 people or more, we offer a delicious and nutritious international breakfast buffet in our dining room.
