မနက်ဖြန်မှာကျင်းပမယ့် လွတ်လပ်စွာစုရုံးခွင့်အကြောင်း အွန်လိုင်းကတစ်ဆင့်ဆွေးနွေးပွဲကို အမေရိကန်စင်တာရန်ကုန်ဖေ့စ်ဘွတ်ခ်စာမျက်နှာ American Center, Yangon ဒါမှမဟုတ် ဂျက်ဖာဆန်စင်တာမန္တလေး ဖေ့စ်ဘွတ်ခ်စာမျက်နှာ Jefferson Center, Mandalay ကနေတိုက်ရိုက်ထုတ်လွှင့်မှုကိုစောင့်ကြည့်ကြဖို့ဖိတ်ခေါ်ပါတယ်။

လွတ်လပ်စွာစုရုံးခွင့်ဆိုတာ အများပြည်သူ အတူတကွစုစည်းခွင့်ဖြစ်ပြီး တွေ့ဆုံစည်းဝေးမှုတွေမှာ၊ အများပြည်သူကန့်ကွက်ဆန္ဒဖော်ထုတ်မှုတွေမှာ ပြည်သူတွေရဲ့စိတ်ကူးဆန္ဒတွေကို စုပေါင်းအင်အားနဲ့ ဖော်ထုတ်တာ၊ မြှင့်တင်တာ၊ လိုက်နာဆောင်ရွက်တာနဲ့ ကာကွယ်တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီမိုကရေစီစနစ်တစ်ခုအတွင်းမှာ ဒီလွတ်လပ်ခွင့်ကို ထိန်းသိမ်းကာကွယ်ရေးဟာ စိန်ခေါ်မှုအဖြစ်ရှိနေနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အမေရိကန်သံရုံးက ကျင်းပလျက်ရှိတဲ့ ဖွဲ့စည်းပုံအခြေခံဥပဒေ ပထမပြင်ဆင်ချက် စကားဝိုင်းဆွေးနွေးပွဲများ အစီအစဉ်ကို ဇူလိုင်လ ၁၅ရက်၊ ဗုဒ္ဓဟူးနေ့၊ နေ့လယ် ၂း၀၀ နာရီကနေ ၃း၃၀ နာရီအထိ “လွတ်လပ်စွာစုရုံးခွင့်” ဆိုတဲ့ခေါင်းစဉ်နဲ့ အွန်လိုင်းကတစ်ဆင့် ကျင်းပပါမယ်။ ဆွေးနွေးပွဲမှာ သံရုံးယာယီတာဝန်ခံ ဂျော့ချ်ဆစ်ဘလီက အဖွင့်မိန့်ခွန်းပြောကြားမှာဖြစ်ပြီး စကားဝိုင်းကို ဦးစိုင်းကျော်ညွန့် (ပြည်ထောင်စုငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးဆွေးနွေးမှုပူးတွဲကော်မတီ)၊ ဦးဇော်မိုး (နိုင်ငံရေးအကျဉ်းသားများကူညီစောင့်ရှောက်ရေးအသင်း)၊ ဖြိုးဖြိုးအောင် (Wings Institute) တို့က ပါဝင်ဆွေးနွေးကြသူတွေအဖြစ်၊ သဉ္ဇာရွှန်းလဲ့ရည် (ဒီမိုကရေစီဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေး လှုပ်ရှားဆောင်ရွက်မှုကော်မတီ) က စေ့စပ်ဆွေးနွေးသူအဖြစ် ထင်ရှားကျော်ကြားတဲ့မြန်မာဟောပြောဆွေး‌နွေးသူတွေပါဝင်ကြမှာပါ။ ဆွေးနွေးမှုကို မြန်မာဘာသာနဲ့ပဲပြုလုပ်မှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Freedom of assembly is the right of people to come together and collectively express, promote, pursue, and defend their ideas – in meetings as well as public protests. Defending this freedom in a democracy can be challenging. The U.S. Embassy First Amendment series continues with a virtual session on “Freedom of Assembly” on Wednesday July 15, 2:00-3:30 pm. Chargé d’Affaires George Sibley will provide opening remarks followed by a discussion with a distinguished group of Myanmar panelists: Sai Kyaw Nyunt (Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee), Zaw Moe (Assistance Association for Political Prisoners), Phyoe Phyoe Aung (Wings Institute), and moderator Thinzar Shunlei Yi (Action Committee for Democracy Development). The discussion will only be in Burmese language.
