General Aung is a founder of Myanmar Army which was formerly knowns as B.I.A, Burma Independence Amry founded in 1941 for the end of British ruling in Burma by assisting the Japanese in their conquest of the country in 1942 during World War II.Tragically ,the assassination came to General Aung San a year before the independence in 1947.He actually missed the independence day which he struggled for.

The independence Monument locates in Maha Bandula Park, in the heart of Yangon/ Rangoon City.
