7️⃣ Time Expressions in English!🕰️🕐

English Conversation တွေ၊ Writing တွေမှာ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ပြောဆိုရေးသားနေကျ styleတွေ၊ အသုံးအနှုန်းတွေက လွယ်ကူရိုးရှင်းပြီး ပျင်းစရာကောင်းနေပြီလား❓ ကိုယ်ရဲ့ language ကို ပိုပြီးဆွဲဆောင်မှုရှိအောင်၊ အသက်ပါလာအောင် ပြောဆိုရေးသားတတ်ဖို့ဆိုတာ စကားလုံးအသုံးအနှုန်းရွေးချယ်မှုကလဲ အရေးကြီးတယ်နော်။

ဒါကြောင့်.. ဒီနေ့မှာတော့ Learners တွေရဲ့ English ကို next level ရောက်အောင်ပံ့ပိုးပေးနိုင်တဲ့ Time Expressions လေး (7) ခုကို sharing လုပ်ပေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။

⌛Time Expressions တွေဆိုတာ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ daily life မှာသာမက၊ social situations တွေနဲ့ business contexts တွေအထိပါ ထည့်သွင်းအသုံးပြုနိုင်တာဖြစ်လို့ လေ့ကိုလေ့လာထားသင့်ပါတယ်။

(1) Behind the times

🟡 Old-fashioned.
(တစ်ယောက်ယောက်၊ တစ်ခုခုက ခေတ်နောက်ကျတယ်လို့ ပြောချင်တဲ့အခါ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။)

🕰️ Example 🕰️

Our professor is so behind the times. He never uses his laptop to send emails.
ငါတို့ရဲ့ ပါမောက္ခက အရမ်းကိုခေတ်နောက်ကျတာပဲ။ Email ပို့ရင် ဘယ်တော့မှ laptop မသုံးဘူး။

(2) In good time ✅

🟡Early enough, with no risk of being late. (Or) At the right time.
(တစ်ခုခုကိုလောစရာမလိုဘဲ၊ နောက်မကျဘဲ စောစီးစွာပြီးမြောက်သွားတဲ့အခါ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။)

🕰️ Example 🕰️

We finished the project in good time, so we could relax over the weekend.
ငါတို့ project ကို စောစောလုပ်ပြီးခဲ့တယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် ငါတို့တစ်ပတ်လုံးနားလို့ရပြီ။

(3) In no time ✅

🟡Very quickly or very soon.
(တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို မြန်မြန်ပြီးအောင်၊ ချက်ချင်းပြီးအောင် လုပ်ဆောင်တဲ့အချိန်မှာ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။)

She finished her homework in no time and went out to play.
သူမရဲ့အိမ်စာကိုမြန်မြန်ပြီးအောင်လုပ်ပြီး ကစားဖို့ ထွက်သွားပြီ။

(4) In the nick of time ✅

🟡Just before the last moment when something can be changed or something bad will happen.
(မကောင်းတာတစ်ခုခုမဖြစ်ခင်၊ မပြောင်းလဲခင် အချိန်မှီ၊ အချိန်ကိုက်။)

The firefighters arrived in the nick of time to save the house from burning down.
တစ်အိမ်လုံးပြာမကျခင် မီးသတ်သမားတွေက အချိန်ကိုက်ရောက်လာပြီး ကယ်တင်ပေးခဲ့တယ်။

(5) A matter of time ✅

🟡Something is certain to happen in the near future, although the exact timing is unknown.
(တစ်စုံတစ်ခုက သိပ်မကြာခင် ဖြစ်ကိုဖြစ်လာလိမ့်မယ်ဆိုတာ သေချာပေမဲ့ အချိန်အတိအကျကိုတော့ မပြောနိုင်တဲ့အခြေအနေမျိုးမှာ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။)

သူအနိုင်ရဖို့ အချိန်တစ်ခုဘဲလိုတော့တယ်။

(6) At one time ✅

🟡During one period of time in the past. Referring to a past period.
(အတိတ်ကာလအချိန်တစ်ခုခုကို ရည်ညွှန်းချင်တဲ့အခါမှာ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။)

🕰️ Example 🕰️

She was a nurse at one time.
တစ်ချိန်တုန်းက သူမက သူနာပြုတစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်ခဲ့တယ်။

(7) In the meantime ✅

🟡During the time before something happens, while waiting for something else to happen.
(တစ်ခုခုဖြစ်လာဖို့စောင့်နေတဲ့အချိန်၊ တစ်ခုခုမဖြစ်ခင် ကြားကာလာအချိန်တွေကို ရည်ညွှန်းပြောဆိုချင်တဲ့အခါ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။)
