🚀 About the Role: CDE is seeking a Geospatial Information Manager to lead and coordinate geospatial, mapping, and AI-supported data initiatives in Myanmar. This role is critical for strengthening evidence-based decision-making through spatial data management, AI-enabled analysis, and visualization.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the planning of geospatial and AI-supported data initiatives.
- Data & Analysis: Manage datasets and conduct GIS/remote sensing analyses, including Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) mapping and vulnerability assessments.
- Capacity Building: Lead training for partners on GIS, remote sensing, AI, and participatory mapping tools.
- Digital Tools: Oversee the development of risk dashboards and manage the e-learning platform.
🎓 Essential Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Advanced degree (Master’s) with 3 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Geography, Geospatial Science, or Environmental Science.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and remote sensing data processing.
- Expertise: Hands-on experience in LULC classification, vulnerability mapping, and integrating socio-economic datasets.
- Soft Skills: Proven experience in training and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives.
📝 Contract Details:
- Type: National Staff Contract – Fixed term, Full-time.
- Duration: 1 year (renewable based on funding).
- Start Date: January 01, 2026.
