UNDP Myanmar
UNDP helps empower lives and build resilient communities in Myanmar.
26/03/2026
A year ago, the earthquake changed everything in an instant. For many families in , the months that followed were defined by a single, tough question: How do we start again?
Recovery doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens in the fields, in the markets, and through the steady restoration of livelihoods.
Working together, UN agencies in Myanmar, including UNDP, FAO, and partners such as Mercy Corps, have stood alongside these communities. By providing the seeds, tools, and cash-for-work opportunities needed to restart, we aren't just "giving aid."
We are helping neighbours rebuild their own independence.
A year later, the green shoots in the fields are more than just crops; they are a testament to the incredible resilience of the people and our collective commitment to not leaving them behind. 🤝
