We are looking for QS Electrical Engineer - 1 post.
Job Summary
We require an experienced energetic dynamic individual to join our growing team here in Myanmar. The candidate is expected to lead and assist senior management in the implementation and rollout of company policies and procedures. The position is required to take an active role in day-to-day activities in all areas including but not limited to: technical, commercial, admin, legal etc. You will also need to take a lead in pursuing project development opportunities both for the private and public sector. You will need to be able to work independently and be goal orientated.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Electrical preferred
• A minimum of 3+ years post qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Experience working on renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind, Hydro)
• Familiarity with the technical aspects of medium and low voltage electrical system
• Attention to detail high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate with others and work well in a team
• Ability to problem-solve and work independently
• Effective English speaking and writing skills
• Experience in drawings based on projects
• Knowledge of design packages such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.
• Knowledge of all MS software packages such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS project essential
Job Description
• To generate precise electrical material quantities from drawings and project documentation
• Ensure accurate measurement of electrical installations based on design specifications and contract documents
• Assist in establishing cost estimation and track project performance against budget
• Assist in the preparation and review of tender documents, contracts, and variations
• Collaborate in value engineering activities to optimize project designs' and implementations' cost-effectiveness without affecting on performance, safety or quality
• Attend site visits to assess progress, review work done, and verify quantities to ensure alignment with the project plan
• Implement company’s management and safety policy on work sites
• Deals with Technical Manager for the project ex*****on
• Other duties as assigned by GM / TM
