This post is primarily dedicated to the Palestinian Menu that we curated for our Tatreez Workshop.
We are posting in the blessed month of Ramadan to
1. Re-ignite the will to pray for our brethren (from Palestine, Sudan, Congo, amongst others, not forgetting from our own country Mauritius as well.) who might not have the luxury of enjoying good food. Prayers hold greater value in this month.
2. To keep the culture alive by incorporating some of their dishes on our tables.
Many of us might be hosting friends and family over. It is a good chance to incorporate some Palestinian dishes on our tables. Do check for good food content in this regard.
Find more details about the slides below, and where Palestinian food can be available in Mauritius.

This is our Prayer Board.
The only condition to sign up for the workshop was to send us a sincere prayer for the Palestinians, no other fees. And this is a compilation of all the prayers from our lovely attendees.
This can be a family activity during this blessed month to encourage each other to pray for every suffering person.

We finally got around to editing the video from our Tatreez Workshop held in November 2025.πΈ
Here a glimpse!πͺ‘
It was an initiative to keep Palestinian art alive. We wanted to sensitize people to pray for the suffering people rather than just posting about it. As much as it is important to create awareness and keep the talks running, we should remember to pray. And not just for Palestinians but for all those about whom we might or might not know.
We used motif handouts from . Do follow them if you wish to learn more about the art form; there is a whole library of wonderful Palestinians motifs and Tatreez knowledge.
The audio is quite an informative piece from .
We have more snippets coming in another post soon. We thank everyone who contributed towards making this workshop a success.
