English Cultural Club

On April 19, the English Club of Nouakchott University(ECNU) organised a huge ceremony under the name of ''TALK TO US'' in Wissal Hotel. “TALK TO US” is a brand new program proposed by the English Club. Its notion is originally borrowed from the well known international program “TEDx”, which is based on “Ideas worth spreading’’.
In his speech, the president of the club asserted that the club is about the people and their interests, as much as it is about students'. '' We all aspire to the best, and we all thrive to an aspiration nation'', he said.
Both Dr. Mohamed Saleck Vall, the mayor of Ksar municipality, and Mrs Habeeba O'connel, the managing director of Bin Bayyah Foundation, spread their ideas at length about their successful stories, and clearly illustrated how to get over difficulties and obstacles.
In addition to the guest speakers' talks, the club presented a special part called ''peace'', and it tackled the issue of wars today and in history. The ceremony closed by a fresh reminder video of the club's aims and achievements along the few last months.
And finally, the club wants to thank the municipality of Ksar for their great collaboration to help hold the program, and of course we thank every single guest, especially our teachers who helped and supported us to move forward.
