Today at the Corsa Beat Your PB – Double Trouble event in Ta’ Xbiex, Liam delivered a superb performance in the highly competitive 1km race for the 13–15 age category, taking 1st place and smashing his personal best with a fantastic time of 3:12.

This result is no accident. It is the outcome of disciplined training, patience, and a commitment to improving one day at a time.

Well done Liam. The journey is just beginning, and there is much more to come.

If you are a young athlete who is serious about middle-distance running and serious about achieving ambitious goals, our group is always open to athletes willing to commit to the process. Success is not guaranteed by talent aloneβ€”it comes from discipline, consistency, and the right guidance. πŸš€

Everyone wants to run faster, jump further or throw farther.

The difference is rarely motivation.

Motivation comes and goes.

Progress comes from the standards you set every day:

β€’ Showing up to training
β€’ Executing the session properly
β€’ Taking recovery seriously
β€’ Being disciplined when nobody is watching

At SpeedWorks we believe success is built on consistent standards, not occasional motivation.

Great day at the track today, with athletes registering personal bests and strong performances across multiple disciplines despite the very windy conditions, especially for the middle-distance athletes. Performances like these are a reflection of consistency, hard work and the willingness to keep pushing forward week after week.

A few special mentions:

Matteo executed his race brilliantly, staying composed and maintaining form all the way to the finish line to break the 2-minute barrier and register a new U16 National Record.

Liam continues to improve steadily, dropping from 12.40 to 12.09 while also showing much better running mechanics.

Luke and Jasmine are both progressing very well and showing the rewards of dedication in training.

Elizabeth is improving technically nearly every competition and it is truly a pleasure to watch her development. You have come a long way β€” keep believing in the process. Thank you Coach Jenny

Maria is also showing huge improvements in both pace and overall performance. We are definitely on the right track for more positive results ahead.

Most importantly, these achievements are not only about times and distances. They are about growth, discipline, resilience and learning how to perform under pressure and difficult conditions.

A sincere thank you goes to everyone supporting these athletes, especially the parents, whose commitment and sacrifices play a huge role behind the scenes.

Success in athletics is rarely one big moment β€” it is built quietly, session after session, through discipline, patience and belief. Keep showing up, keep trusting the process, and the results will continue to come.
