Malta was ranked as second in Europe to have an affordable price for fuel.

Petrol prices vary widely across Europe despite using the same fuel on the same continent. In the Netherlands, the average price stands at €2.17 per litre, while in Bulgaria it is just €1.27. Malta stands at €1.34 per litre.

Over the past two weeks, prices have increased sharply as instability in the Middle East pushed oil markets into a volatile period, highlighting how quickly costs at the pump can change.
