Creating a truly inclusive festival takes intent, training, and meaningful conversations. 🌈

Our team recently took part in an engaging inclusivity training led by Robert Attard from MGRM. Together, we explored the barriers that might discourage LGBTQ+ people from attending the SitC Festival, discussed how LGBTQ+ rights in Malta have evolved while recognising that progress is an ongoing journey, and unpacked what inclusion really means because it's far more than labels and definitions.

One of the highlights of the session was the open discussion. There was plenty of time to ask questions, share experiences, and explore topics that mattered most to us, making it a valuable opportunity to learn from one another.

These conversations help us grow and move closer to creating a festival where everyone feels welcome, respected, safe, and celebrated.

International Non-Binary People's Day is a a perfect day to remember that Gender Diversity existed in many cultures through time!

We need to keep sharing Gender Diverse identities, and listen to the voice of members on every day of the year in order to gain a more inclusive understanding of gender.

Most importantly- always respect non-binary persons, their pronouns and identities!
