On the 27th and 28th of June, the Department's final-year students showcased their final year projects at the Faculty of Engineering Exhibition. Well done to all students!
Visitors also had the unique opportunity to tour our state-of-the-art laboratories and participate in hands-on workshops and project demonstrations in an interactive setting. These workshops were led by members of staff from our Department and Centre for Biomedical Cybernetics - University of Malta.

We are seeking a full-time Research Support Officer (RSO) for an 18-month appointment with the Department of Systems and Control Engineering at the University of Malta.
The opportunity offers candidates the opportunity to contribute across a range of departmental activities, including:
• Supporting ongoing research and innovation projects;
• Assisting with laboratory setup, maintenance, and operation;
• Developing and preparing demonstrations for outreach, teaching, and research activities;
• Contributing to the day-to-day technical and practical activities that keep our laboratories running effectively.
This position would suit graduates with an interest in engineering, research, laboratory work, and hands-on technical problem-solving.

Prof. Ing. Marvin Bugeja recently visited the University of Melbourne’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as a Guest Academic, following an invitation from Prof. Iman Shames. During his two-week stay in March, Prof. Bugeja delivered a seminar introducing the University of Malta and the Department of Systems and Control Engineering (SCE), alongside a technical presentation on dual adaptive control with applications to mobile robotics and beyond. Additionally, he held research meetings with faculty members to discuss shared interests and projects, met with students, and explored the university's educational programmes to foster future academic and research collaboration.
