Last night’s "An Evening in the Olive Grove" was a wonderful success, bringing the community together in support of renal patients across Malta and Gozo. We were honored to be joined by Charles Bugeja, owner of Ta Xmun Olive Grove, who spoke movingly about the profound impact that community sponsorship has on the essential work of local NGOs.
🌳
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the entire crew at Xmun Olive Grove, M's Kitchen and Holy Wines; your dedication, care and hard work were the heart of the evening and made this meaningful fundraiser possible.
Thank YOU.

Taking on the LifeCycle Challenge for the very first time is a massive undertaking, but Igor is approaching it with pure focus and intention. Known for his love of cycling, he shared his thoughts when we caught up with him during last Sunday’s group training session. The routes keep getting tougher, and the team keeps getting to know each other over the kilometers spent together.

2019 - "Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia"

The 2019 Lifecycle challenge was the 21st edition of this extreme endurance charity event. It started in Hanoi, Vietnam, crossed Laos, and ended at Angkor Wat in Cambodia, one of the world's greatest wonders. The whole trip covered just under 2,000 km over 10 days.

This was yet another grueling challenge, where participants faced long, undulating terrain in high humidity with occasional rain. Twenty seven cyclists started the challenge, with 7 back-up crew. As is normal during these extreme challenges, the tough conditions took their toll, resulting in 9 cyclists not completing the challenge due to heat exhaustion, dehydration, and humidity.

By the end of the challenge, around E 200,000 were raised to support kidney disease and renal patients in Malta. These funds covered a new kidney disease research program at the University of Malta, the Renal Unit Support Health Hub (R.U.S.H.), life-saving equipment for kidney patients, psychological support services for renal patients and kidney donors, organ transplant awareness initiatives, support for the "Lurto Software by Traccia" donor-matching software used for kidney transplant compatibility, as well as transport and support services for dialysis patients.
We would like to thank all the people who are donating including our Sponsors such as Visit Malta whose generous donations make this event possible. An event that will impact the lives of many.
