Highlights from the SIGEF Women Summit 📸

Earlier this week, Ramona Cassar, Partner, participated in the panel '𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘗𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦: 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯, 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 & 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬'. Ramona shared insights into the opportunities and considerations shaping today’s investment landscape, alongside the importance of ensuring that women continue to play an active role in influencing how wealth is managed, invested and transferred across generations.

The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) Authority has published a Discussion Paper on Decentralised Finance (DeFi), subtitled “Strengthening Malta’s Position as a Jurisdiction for Next Generation Financial Services.”

Dated 12 June 2026 and bearing reference number 03-2026, the paper is open for public consultation until 10 July 2026.

This marks a significant moment not only for Malta’s financial services sector, but also for the wider European conversation on how to regulate one of the most disruptive corners of finance.

On 23–24 June, Joselyn Teuma will be attending the ITR Indirect Tax Forum 2026 in Amsterdam, joining industry leaders and tax professionals to discuss the developments shaping the future of indirect tax.

With ViDA, mandatory e-invoicing, and real-time reporting transforming the compliance landscape, the forum will focus on the practical implications for businesses and the steps organisations can take to prepare for the changes ahead.
