🚴‍♂️ ALIVE2026 Sicily Training Camp 🇮🇹💙

Over the weekend, our cyclists completed a 3-day training camp in Sicily, based in the beautiful town of Caltagirone, as preparations continue for next month's ALIVE2026 Cycling Challenge for Cancer Research.

The surrounding hills provided the perfect training ground, challenging the team with long climbs, demanding routes and hot conditions. Over the course of the camp, the cyclists covered:

🚴‍♂️ Over 360km of cycling
⛰️ More than 3,800m of elevation gain
📅 Three consecutive days of training

This training camp offered the team a valuable opportunity to experience the type of physical and mental challenges they will face during the challenge itself. The cyclists pushed through the heat, the climbs and the fatigue, all while keeping their focus firmly on the cause they are supporting.

A special thank you to Virtu Ferries for supporting this training camp and helping make this important stage of preparation possible.

With the challenge now just weeks away, the team enters the final phase of training, united by one goal: supporting vital cancer research at the University of Malta.
