Hearing vs Obeying

IT’S NOT ENOUGH TO HEAR THE WORD

We listen to sermons.
We read the Bible.
We hear the truth…

But are we living it?

📖 “Do not merely listen to the word… do what it says.” — James 1:22

Closeness to God does not come from:

Knowledge
Listening
Information

👉 It comes from obedience.

You can know the Word… and still feel far from God.

Why?

Because God responds to obedience, not just hearing.

📖 “If you love me, keep my commands.” — John 14:15

🛠️ How to grow:

Apply one verse daily
Obey even when it’s hard
Be consistent

👉 Small obedience leads to deep intimacy.

Lord, help me not just to hear Your Word, but to live it daily. Amen.

This week, be reminded that the God who created you also knows exactly what you need. 🌿

When you feel tired, uncertain, or overwhelmed, trust the One who formed you with purpose and love.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31

May His strength lift you, may His peace surround you, and may His grace carry you through every moment. Amen
