We are very happy to announce that CDL Knits Ltd has been awarded the 1st runner up prize in the Manufacturing category in the Environmental Awards 2024.

This competition, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, recognizes the best environmental initiatives across 11 sectors on the island.

The awards ceremony was conducted yesterday, on Environment Day, in the presence of Mrs. Kobita Jugnauth and Hon. Kavydass Ramano.

For the competition, CDL Knits has put into limelight all efforts towards:

1. Water conservation, resulting in saving around 1,000 m3 of water per day (due to rain water harvesing, investment in new-generation machinery and process optimization).

2. Energy Efficiency and Green Energy (installation of PV solar panels, process optimization).

3. Sustainable Waste Management (sorting of wastes).
