Abnormal Menstrual Cramps Awareness
Women's tolerance to pain is questioned because of its banality and few educational awareness.

Menstrual pain was reported by 84.1% of women with 43.1% reporting that pain occurred during every period, and 41% reporting that pain occurred during some periods. Our women tend to suffer silently of abdominal pain which can disrupt their activities or to certain extent hospitalize them.

As such, it is important for raise awareness to help women raise their voice if they are not feeling well. Menstrual cramps can cause irritation, frustration and conflicts within the household making it important to be spoken out to limit misunderstanding and more compassion for each other.

Men, your support is important for women to feel better about ourselves during these times. Your understanding and help will help them to be more alert of their bodies and seek rest whenever they feel forcing themselves is becoming a dreadful impact on their mental health.

The 18th October is the World Menopause Day, an annual campaign to raise awareness around the natural stage of a woman’s life when her hormone levels decline and periods cease.

The World Menopause Day is an opportunity to raise awareness around the realities of female health and the management options available, while combating global stigma and misinformation.

It is important to note that the early signs of perimenopause which include depression, anxiety, mood swings and no energy can have a huge impact on the mental health of so many women nationwide. Moreover, this year's selected theme is bone health as in healthy bone; up to the menopause, the production of new bone happens more than the removal of old bone, but the opposite happens after the menopause.

This is why the purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving women's health and well-being.
