🚁 Sauver des vies, au delà des défis

Le samedi 4 juillet 2026, la Police Helicopter Squadron a été mobilisée pour une évacuation médicale en mer au large de Port-Louis.

À bord de l'hélicoptère, l’équipage a effectué une opération de treuillage délicate afin de récupérer un marin blessé à bord d’un navire et le transporter en toute sécurité pour recevoir les soins nécessaires.

Une intervention qui témoigne de la précision, du professionnalisme et de l’engagement de nos officiers dans des missions où chaque geste compte.

🚨 Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) Regional Crackdown Operation on Drug Trafficking

From 24 to 26 June 2026, the Mauritius Police Force led the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) 48-Hour Regional Crackdown Operation on Drug Trafficking, alongside CSC Member States.

Over the 48-hour operation, intelligence-led actions, involving all major units of the Force, were conducted across Mauritius to target drug trafficking networks, dismantle illicit activities and strengthen border security.

💥 Operation Highlights

✔️ 76 drug-related cases detected
✔️ 53 arrests effected
✔️ He**in, cannabis, synthetic drugs, psychotropic substances and drug-related items seized
✔️ Rs 929,250 secured as suspected proceeds of drug-related crime and money laundering
✔️ Over 2,900 people reached through anti-drug awareness and sensitisation campaigns

🌊 Strengthening Maritime Security through the "Sea Vision Training"

The Mauritius Police Force held the closing ceremony of the "Sea Vision Training" on Friday 26 June 2026 at the Coast Guard Training School (CGTS), Le Chaland.

The training was conducted by instructors from the United States Naval Information Warfare Centre for personnel of the National Coast Guard, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen maritime surveillance capabilities and enhance operational expertise.

The ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of Police and the United States Chargé d'Affaires, underscoring the strong cooperation between the Mauritius Police Force and the United States in the field of maritime security.

⚡ OPERATION THUNDERSTRIKE - 476 PERSONS ARRESTED ⚡

Between 10 and 18 June 2026, the Mauritius Police Force conducted Operation Thunderstrike across all Police Divisions, with one operational day dedicated to each Division.

The operation brought together officers from the Regular Police, CID, ERS, DSU, SSU, SMF and the Police Dog Unit.

A total of 476 persons were arrested, including individuals wanted on warrants and others involved in various offences.

Operation Thunderstrike aimed to reinforce public safety, ensure strict enforcement of the law and bring offenders before justice.
