On Thursday, 25 June 2026, EDYCS Epilepsy Group convened a Multi-Stakeholder Policy Round Table on Inclusive Employment and Decent Work at The Docks, Caudan, Port Louis.
Held under the theme “Advancing Equal Employment Opportunities for Persons Living with Epilepsy: From Awareness to Policy Action”, the meeting brought together representatives from government, employers, civil society, healthcare, and academia to discuss the barriers faced by persons living with epilepsy in accessing and retaining employment.
The round table provided a valuable platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaborative policy engagement, with a shared focus on promoting inclusive workplaces, reducing stigma and discrimination, and strengthening support systems to improve employment opportunities in Mauritius.
Funded by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and the BAND Foundation.
