I believe our Republic is in serious trouble and if we do not make some changes it will never recover. I believe many of the problems are caused by corrupt politicians who work only to get re-elected. I believe that these career politicians are out of touch with what is really going on in our country, and the only way to resolve the problems these politicians are causing is to elect new people.

I believe we still have to continue to work every day to keep our liberties from being taken away, and to keep We the People in control of the government, not the government in control of us. I believe it is time to vote out the career politicians and believe , that the government should be “OF THE PEOPLE.” I believe God set a path in front of me and I chose to follow it.

I am Dr. Mohamed Athif. I am a physician and a health care social media voice and a father.I was born and raised at Maafanu South,Male’.I did my University education at Aligarh Muslim University and Mahathma Gandhi Medical college India.I am of the people and for the people. I am running for the People’s Majlis, Maafannu South T12 of Male’City. I humbly ask for your vote, your support, and that you believe with me that together we can change the Maldives and build a better future for our children, my constituency and this country.
