STO RC One Win Away from Fifth Club Maldives Cup Title

STO Recreation Club (STO RC) moved within one victory of ending an 11-year wait for the Club Maldives Cup after defeating Club HDC 3-1 in the first semi-final

The four-time champions produced another composed performance to book their place in the final, where they will have the opportunity to lift the prestigious trophy for the first time since 2015.

Only a minute into the second half, Ali Humeyzu produced a moment of individual brilliance. Carrying the ball from halfway while holding off two defenders, he unleashed a powerful strike from just outside the penalty area to give STO RC the lead for the first time.

Now, after more than a decade without the title, they stand just one match away from adding another chapter to their proud Club Maldives Cup history.
