GOVERNMENT OF FLANDERS MASTER MIND SCHOLARSHIPS

Call for academic year 2023-2024

Brief description:

The Flemish Ministry of Education awards scholarships for master’s programmes in Flanders and Brussels to outstanding students from around the world. The programme aims to promote Flanders and Brussels as a top study destination.

Various Universities in Belgium

Level/Field of study:

Eligible Masters Degree Programmes offered at participating Flemish Institutions except preparatory programmes; bridging programmes; or distance learning.

Number of Awards:

20 scholarships per university

Target group:

International students from all countries. There are a number of scholarships reserved for students from certain countries: Japan (3), Mexico (3), Palestine (2), USA (5).

Scholarship value/duration:

A Master Mind Scholarship includes a grant of €9,600 plus a tuition fee waiver per academic year. Master Mind Scholarship holders only pay an administrative enrolment fee. The Flemish Host Institution can ask the applicant to pay a tuition fee that equals the lowest rate of the yearly tuition fee for a student who receives a study grant from the Flemish government. The rate for the academic year 2023-2024 is €128,80.

The duration of mobility is one academic year for a Master programme of 60 ECTS and two academic years for a master programme of 120 ECTS.
