Today marks three months since we hosted 2024—our second edition and a bold reminder of what’s possible when passion meets purpose.

Over 180 people joined us in person for a day packed with real conversations, practical workshops, and meaningful networking. It wasn’t just an event—it was a rallying cry for Malawi’s creative future and a powerful moment for podcasting in Southern Africa.

And we did it without funding. After reaching out to over 30 companies, we weren’t successful in securing support - a challenge that the industry currently faces. Yet, through collaboration, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief in the vision, we made it happen anyway.

In a country where tech barriers, economic limitations, and knowledge gaps still challenge the growth of creative industries, Podfest Malawi continues to prove that Africa’s rising generation of storytellers and innovators won’t wait for perfect conditions—they’re rewriting the rules, breaking through barriers, and shaping the future from the ground up. We truly take pride in knowing that we are among the pioneers of podcast festivals in the region—and across the continent.

I believe in African voices, especially those that push boundaries and drive impact. I’m grateful to my team for making this happen—and for already building the momentum for Podfest Malawi 2025.

This started in Malawi, but the vision is continental.

The movement is alive. And we’re just getting started.

Cheers to building a platform that will ensure African voices of impact are never silenced.

My greatest fear is not failing in life; my greatest fear is succeeding at things that don’t matter.

With this borrowed breath, may we never forget that when it’s all said and done, it will just be you and the King! In that moment, what the world esteemed will mean nothing. Only our faithfulness in obeying His voice and our meekness in serving Him and others will make us stand tall in His presence.

Don’t lose focus—you were created to fulfill a purpose that only you can. Make your life count by staying true to your purpose every day! 💪🏾

The first two pics are a throwback to the time I used to record podcast episodes in lockers covered in Blankets as sound insulators using a phone or laptop Mic. It was super hot in those lockers, but it was dreams of days like this that we pushed on! The 3rd Pic was the day we took a leap of faith and hosted the first Podcast Festival in Southern Africa!

This Saturday, 16th of November, we're back and I'll be hosting Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on Engaging Influencers Podcast at PodFest Malawi happening at Umodzi Park's BICC!

Yes, from lockers to the biggest stages with the biggest guests... Zonse ndi nthawi!

The dream continues! ✊🏾 Be part of the revolution and show support for a brother by buying tickets on .comw: https://kwenda.co/events/event_single/podfest-malawi/
