VIRTUES OF WISDOM

Man always has his plans. If you are here on earth I am sure you know that there is a plan of man and the expectations of men but there is also what we call the plan of God. A superior plan.
A man can have a plan but it will be foolishness to think that man can plan things better than God. And this evening we have come to the plan of God. In such instances, the one that dares open up their spirit receives that which God has planned. I have taken some time out to study the Old Testament and have found out how God was planning things and most of the manifestations of God's plans were set aside for the time of His son, Jesus Christ.
The scriptures there are filled with mighty men but the perfection was withheld for the manifestation of the sons. And if God has said that this is your time, then it is your time.
Jesus wept because He found himself among a people who had no expectation. They were a people more curious in who the Messiah would be than a people filled with the expectation of His arrival. Had they been full of expectation, they would not have missed Him.
Whatever you have known of God, whatever you have been trusting God for, tonight is your night.
It may interest you to know why of all the things that Jesus Christ received for us, we are looking at Wisdom. Well PROVERBS 4:7 tells us that wisdom is the major thing that we should get in life. Whenever you are told that something is a principal thing, it means that every other thing follows after that. It means that when you get that which is first, you do not toil after the other things that follow.
There are people today who are looking for honour because they missed the principal thing. There are even men of God today, heavily anointed, but failing to manifest heaven because they have missed that which is principal. There are thousands of sick and poverty stricken people today because someone somewhere missed the principal thing. This must mean that there is something so precious about wisdom.It says in ECCLESIATES 2:26 that whenever God has foundyou and seen that you are good to His sight, He gives you the best thing. Wisdom. And if God says that this is the best thing, then it means it is the best. But many are the times we have come before God and God, knowing that as righteous men we will make mention of something that we want, has been disappointed. He is disappointed because many do not know the principal thing. They seek anointing, power, many things but not the thing that holds all things together.
God is not against the things that we desire, He just has something that He would rather give you. Do you know thatthe devil was defeated so easily because Jesus grew in wisdom? Yes, the child grew in wisdom and because Jesus sought wisdom, anointing followed, riches followed, crowds followed, and everything else. And we are here, imparting wisdom not to get you to get a credit or distinctions but to prepare you for life. You are not here (at College Of Medicine) to get distinctions but to display the splendour of God. You are supposed to be the ones to discover the things no one else has discovered in the human body. Text books for the next generation are supposed to be filled by you. That is why Jesus was not in Sunday school but was instead talking to the Elders. He had things to fill the Holy Book with.This is because whether you are using it or not, God has given you a sound mind. 2 TIMOTHY 1:7 tells us that God has given us a mind that can process things. A mind filled with understanding. There is the eye of wisdom in you.
A sound mind speaks of wisdom and because the verse saysGod has given us the spirit of a sound mind, it means that wisdom is a spirit. And a spirit has a tendency of intoxicating those whom it comes upon. That is why the major things of God are spirit and even the word of God is spirit and life.The world has not yet seen what it means to be spirit filled.
Creation is groaning for this. The ones to introduce all those answers are born again Christians. I know that you believe you can pray for those with cancer, HIV and other mysterious diseases to be healed but you have also been given the wisdom to create a cure. A sound mind understands where the blood flows, what blood is made of and says 'in this scenario maybe we should cause this to flow that way...maybe we can create a sieve.' You will introduce things in this life.
Many of the things we are using now were created or invented by someone with two eyes and two hands just like you but not spirit filled. With wisdom in you, what more should the world expect? EPHESIANS 2: 6 - 7 shows us that all along, God was waiting for a season. He planned things in the Old Testament that in the ages to come He will show the exceeding riches of His grace. And here you are. You are found in the season of His grace. God wants to bring to completion that which He has begun with salvation
