Early childhood development is crucial for the personal growth and development of a child. As a representative of Mzuzu District Education Network (DEN), we considered it an honour to witness the presentation and delivery of a ECD petition to the government through Mzuzu City Council/M'mbelwa District Council, an initiative led by the ECD Department of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia.
Among other issues presented by representatives of both learners and caregivers, are the professionalization of caregivers, putting of caregivers on a government payroll, improving infrastructure in the CBCCs, advocating for more community support towards ECD among others.

For a female learner, having a conducive learning environment goes beyond good classrooms and desks. It entails having proper sanitary facilities such as toilets and changing rooms, among others.
It's with excitement that we share progress we have registered constructing toilets and a changing room for female learners and teachers at Kasalu Primary School in Euthini Zone, in Mzimba district.
We can't wait to see what the finished product will look like, and the impact it will have on improving learning outcomes for female learners.
We appreciate the good working relationship between our organization and the Area Development Committee of T/A Chindi, the community of Kasalu and mostly our development partner.
