Xochicalco is one of Mexico's most remarkable archaeological treasures, and it's just a short drive from Cuernavaca. The intricately carved serpents and glyphs on the Temple of the Feathered Serpent tell stories of ancient Mesoamerican cultures coming together in this powerful ceremonial center. Standing before these 1,200-year-old carvings is truly humbling.

We enjoy welcoming back former students. Jacqueline came from Toronto to study Spanish as a college student in 2007. She was back this summer with her children Benjamin and Penelope. They each had classes at their particular level of Spanish and regrouped during the midmorning break. After lunch with their host family, most afternoons they were off visiting interesting places in Cuernavaca. And the kids got to see the same pyramids at Teotihuacan that their mother had visited.
