To mark this year’s 🌎 Earth Day, we recognize Greta Thunberg for challenging world leaders to take immediate action to address the climate crisis, and for inspiring so many to push for meaningful change.

We believe that true leadership is not landing a promotion at work, winning elections, or saying what everyone finds convenient because it will win us a favor. Rather, it is the courage to wield the power of reason and good judgement in the face of damaging ignorance.

Greta Thunberg is such hero. Her attitude may strike some as uncompromising, but we have no right to compromise on global ecology. We welcome and support this new generation of leaders — those who will help us deal with the mistakes of past generations.

At Telos, we welcome the new generation of leaders -- those of us who must deal with the consequences of the mistakes of past generations. We would do well if we have the fortitude to retain our good judgment and the courage of our convictions, like Greta.
