Part 2 — how I became a PMU artist? 👄

4-5 years ago permanent makeup has been getting very popular in Ukraine and I had my powder brows, eyeliner and lips done and it was absolutely life changing for me as a blondie and a busy mom. 👩‍🦳

I was so impressed with the results and had no doubt that it was exactly what I wanted to do - to give ladies/mommas/grandmas this super opportunity to feel more confident without any makeup any time of the day. Hide skin defects and add highlights where needed.

So I didn't really do much research on the pmu schools as the artist that did a pretty good job on my face offered me private basic course and it was 3 times cheaper than regular group course plus I didn't have to wait for the certain date  and we could start any time now. 🤪

And that was my biggest mistake! 🥴
My first teacher didn’t have any structural course ready. She gave me the PMU book to read, I was watching her doing her clients, working my stroke on the latex. I had no questions as I had zero knowledge on what was going on. My first models were my cousin and my mother in law. You can see the pics of my first works and I'm so ashamed if it 👉
They were even happy with a results, but I was not. 😒

After I finished the "course" I have rented a room in a beauty studio and started to work with my first clients. It was very hard for me as I'm a perfectionist and I spent too much time and energy to make my imperfect works look perfect. My clients were happy, but I was not again. 😭

That's when my educational journey started and I went through more than 20 courses, masterclasses, webinars, marathons etc. 👩🏼‍💻 spent thousands of 💰

I was studying, working on the latex, working on the models, working on the clients. And every time my works were better and easier, clients were happier I finally saw the improvement and self satisfaction.

Right now I am confident in my skills (look at the pics and I hope you can notice the difference) 😝

As well WULOP championship has given me exact vision of the level of my skills, rewarded me as the best PMU artist in Mexico.
