What is CE-5 Contact? 👽
Anyone interested in the world of UFOlogy has probably come across the term “Close Encounter,” especially fans of the 1977 film “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” based on real-life eyewitness accounts of an alien encounter. The term refers to any event in which a human being observes an unidentified flying object (UFO), more commonly referred to today as UAPs, or unidentified aerial phenomenon, and there is a system for classifying the “kind” of encounter based on how close the contact is.
Originally set forth by J. Allen Hynek, a U.S. astronomer and skeptic-turned-ufologist, in his 1972 work The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry, the classification of types of contact between human and alien life referred to “Close Encounters” of the first, second, and third kind. The First category refers to visual sightings of an up-close UAP, the Second describes one in which a sighting is accompanied by some sort of marked effect upon the physical reality of the observer–such as interference with radio signals or electronic devices, reaction from nearby animals, or burnt or bent items in the area. To qualify as a Close Encounter of the Third Kind, however, alien life must also be observed along with the witnessing of alien craft.
This was as far as the original scale went. Dr. Hynek dared not imagine any further contact between humans and extraterrestrials, but his colleague Jacques Vallée pushed for a Fourth type of encounter to be classified–specifically one in which the human observer “experienced a transformation of their sense of reality." While some later ufologists would reduce this definition to refer only to cases of “abduction” by extraterrestrials, many consider visions and dreams of visiting ETs to fall into this category.
There is, however, a Fifth Kind of Close Encounter, and you probably could have predicted that this is what we call a CE-5, or a “Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind.” According to Dr. Stephen Greer, founder of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and original creator of the CE-5 Protocol, this category of alien-human contact is specifically human-initiated, meaning that rather than waiting and hoping for an extraterrestrial encounter, the observer actually invites or requests communication from ETs while in a meditative state. CE-5 contact events typically begin with a group meditation and end with a search of the skies for UAP (and these often provide documented evidence of such appearances), but also encourage participants to remain open to telepathic communication as well as what may be considered CE-4 encounters such as dream-state experiences or apparitions.
Today, CE-5 contact groups exist all over the world. While Dr. Greer states that at this time, there is no process in place to officially train or certify CE-5 contact facilitators, thousands of inspired earth beings such as you and I have come together to create their own framework for contacting ETs and calling forth UAPs using his loosely defined protocol. In addition to these guidelines, I also employ methods informed by reputable ET channels such as Lyssa Royal Holt, who has been gathering and reporting her experiences in the field of human-extraterrestrial contact for decades, and Carla Rueckert, world-renowned for her channeling of the entity Ra for the incomparable 1981 publication The Ra Material, commonly referred to today as “The Law of One.” These additional insights allow meditation group participants to deepen their experience and begin a life-long journey of communicating with the stars.
You can find Dr. Vallée's Physical Analyses in Ten Cases of Unexplained Aerial Objects with Material Samples, in which he makes the case for a fourth kind of encounter, here: https://web.archive.org/web/20100706200144/http://www.scientificexploration.org/journal/jse_12_3_vallee_2.pdf
