Thank you to everyone who sent protective prayers yesterday for my brave friend Ali, or took the time to call your representatives. Our voices made a difference.

The past 24 hours have been distressing for all of us but we are relieved to hear of the ceasefire, despite it being incomplete and tenuous. We are hopeful that a true and stable peace can be reached later this week.

Articles of impeachment have been introduced against Donald Trump this morning for war crimes and unlawful actions in both Venezuela and Iran. Keep calling your representatives and remember to vote in the midterms!!! We must see this man removed from office. The deliberate targeting of civilian power & water infrastructure as well as stating “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” must be understood as clear intent to commit ge🛑c!de.
The belief that the US had any intention to actually help the people of Iran must be understood as a fallacy constructed to further an Imperialist agenda, grab resources and conveniently distract the world from the mountain of allegations covered up by the US department of justice to protect the so called president from previous egregious crimes.

Admittedly I have tried to shield myself from the horrors of the news recently, for the sake of my own mental health and in preparation for birth it has felt necessary, but yesterday it all landed too close to home when someone I love stepped directly into the line of fire.
None of us were designed biologically to face the ongoing stream of violence or disturbing news from across the globe daily.
Our nervous systems were designed to know and respond to what was happening in front of us, in our families & our villages.
That said I hold a deep belief in the power of prayer and aligned collective action. We are living in times where so much that has lurked in the darkness is being revealed, but it is the growing light that is revealing it, and with that light is the power to turn and face what has been hidden in the shadows for too long.
Mind yourselves, hold your loved ones close, take breaks when you need to reconnect with the beauty that surrounds you and then… ⬇️ comments

Another circle round the sun, growing, learning, loving and blossoming into the path of motherhood. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my life this year. For all the friendship, beauty, music, prayers and laughter. Pregnancy has been a very internal and sometimes isolating experience for me, but I promise I’ll leave my little cocoon again when the time is right.
For now we are quietly nested and counting the days until we meet this little one.
