[Scheduled Maintenance] GB Network Website & Client Area – Critical Linux Kernel Security Update | 14th July 2026

We would like to inform you that a scheduled security maintenance will be performed on our infrastructure to address a recently disclosed critical Linux kernel vulnerability (CVE-2026-43499 – "GhostLock").

This maintenance requires a server reboot to apply the latest patched Linux kernel and ensure that the server is fully protected against this vulnerability.

Vulnerability Details

A security vulnerability identified as CVE-2026-43499 ("GhostLock") has been discovered in the Linux kernel. This vulnerability allows a local unprivileged user to potentially gain root privileges on affected systems.

To ensure the continued security of our hosting environment, we will be upgrading the server to the latest patched kernel version.

Maintenance Details

Maintenance Date: 14th July 2026 (Tuesday)
Maintenance Start Time: 11:00 PM GMT+8 (MYT)
Maintenance End Time: 12:00 AM GMT+8 (MYT)
Expected Downtime: Approximately 10 - 20 minutes
