Day 14: until next time. ✈️❤️
The final day of RondoFest 2026 began with check-outs, airport transfers, luggage trolleys, and a lot of goodbyes.
Over two weeks, strangers became friends, rehearsals became performances, and memories were made across three cities and two countries.
Of course, as with any tour, not every journey home goes exactly according to plan. Some participants enjoyed a remarkably smooth flight experience. Some others enjoyed... additional time to reflect on the festival. 😌
No matter which flight you were on, everyone eventually made their way home carrying the same thing: unforgettable memories.

RondoFest plays Mahler 2 in Hanoi is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Embassy of Malaysia in Vietnam. It is also a cultural initiative under the Visit Malaysia 2026 Campaign, supported by Tourism Malaysia. The Hanoi tour is presented in collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore; Hanoi Opera House; Vietnam National Academy of Music; Penang State EXCO for Tourism & Creative Economy; ABRSM; Gamuda Land Vietnam and c-ASEAN.

The Hanoi choir for our upcoming performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 gathered for their first rehearsal last night under the guidance of Tengku Irfan and Susanna Saw. 🎶✨
Marking the beginning of an exciting musical journey, singers came together to explore the powerful and deeply moving choral passages that make Mahler 2 such an extraordinary work. Through focused preparation and collaborative music-making, the choir began shaping the sound, expression, and emotional depth that will form an integral part of this monumental performance.
As RondoFest 2026 approaches its final stop in Hanoi, we look forward to seeing this choir continue to develop and grow. With each rehearsal, the ensemble moves closer towards a shared artistic vision, building towards a powerful performance that celebrates connection, community, and the transformative power of music. ❤️🇻🇳
