槟州政府严厉敦促开发商加快兴建延迟的可负担房屋项目。州行政议员兼房屋及环境事务委员会主席拿督斯里 Sundarajoo Somu 强调，这些项目的完成刻不容缓，以满足州内日益增长的可负担房屋需求。

Sundarajoo 透露，目前已有超过 160,000 个可负担房屋单位已竣工、在建或处于规划阶段。然而，仍有超过 70,000 个单位停滞在规划阶段，迟迟没有进展。为了解决这一问题，槟岛市政厅（MBPP）及威省市政厅（MBSP）已受指示，要求相关开发商到市政厅解释延误原因。

“如果这种情况持续下去，我们将不会批准这些开发商的新项目，除非他们先启动已获批但尚未施工的项目。”他警告说，必须采取严格措施，以防进一步拖延。

州政府坚定履行承诺，力争在 2030 年前提供 220,000 个可负担房屋单位。Sundarajoo 重申，可负担房屋供应是州政府的优先事项，因为许多槟城居民难以承担高昂的房价。他敦促开发商履行责任，确保有需要的人能够获得住房机会。
