我們非常榮幸能為 白衣堂“第三屆短期出家” 的戒子們帶來共兩期的水墨畫公益課

我們在6月1日和戒子們分享《水墨二三事：水墨畫簡介與欣賞》，帶領戒子們簡短認識中國美術史，以及水墨畫的分類題材與美學意境。

今日我們更是由淺入深，簡單認識筆墨紙硯後就讓大家動手實踐體驗水墨畫！伴隨着墨香，大家通過現場的“寫意貓咪”示範，親身體驗了水墨交融、隨心流淌的藝術魅力。

由衷感謝所有法師們、戒子們、志工以及白衣堂的全力支持與付出，才讓這次具備深意的活動圓滿落幕。唯願大家在水墨禪韻中皆有所得，心生歡喜。

We are so honored to conduct a two-part Chinese Brush Painting workshop for the participants of the 3rd Short-Term Novice Ordination Program at Pek Ee Tong!

We started with an introductory talk on June 1st sharing the rich history, diverse styles, and essential elements of traditional Chinese ink art.

Today we moved from theory to practice. After introducing traditional brushes and materials, we had a fun painting cats using Chinese ink brushstrokes and mindfulness.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the Masters and participants, volunteers, and Pek Ee Tong for making this meaningful event possible. We sincerely hope everyone enjoyed the session and found peace and inspiration in the brushstrokes.

Splashing into the details! 💧🍃

Our classroom got a little “wet” this week as we learned to paint 3D water droplets!

This might look like magic, but it’s actually all about understanding light. The kids learned how to map out a light source, create soft cast shadows underneath, and add that final, sharp white highlight to give the illusion of translucent water droplets.

Look at how beautifully these droplets “sit” on top of their paintings! 🎨✨

Our classroom turned into a colorful laboratory this week, where we experimented with water-marbling using cornstarch and acrylic! Check out these amazing handkerchiefs created by our talented students!

From choosing the perfect palette to carefully swirling the patterns, every student put so much thought into their creation. It’s messy, it’s magical, and it’s made specifically for Mom!

We hope these handmade gifts bring as much joy to the moms as they did to the little hands that made them!

May your path be bright and your heart be full this Raya.

Just as these lighthouses, painted with such care by our adult students, stand as symbols of guidance and hope, we hope our painting brings you a meaningful Hari Raya filled with clarity and peace.

（Literally) Galloping into the Year of the Horse! 🐎

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, we are taking inspiration from the traditional Kuda Kepang (“braided horse”) dance to create these amazing hobby horses!

Originally from Java, Indonesia, the Kuda Kepang dance has been lovingly preserved and embraced as a signature cultural icon here in Malaysia, particularly in Johor and Selangor. We love how our kids have taken this local cultural icon and given it their own unique twist for the festive season! 🎨❤️

We are also taking a creative break to celebrate the festivities. The studio will be closed until 26 February. Until then, we wish everyone a prosperous and energetic Year of the Horse! 🧧
