𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿! by Red Hong Yi () will be available as a limited edition print, releasing on 28 May at 10PM (GMT+8) via www.cultprint.co. The print is produced by Cultprint in close collaboration with the artist and informed by her lived experience of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery.

Hand-finished VAP variants are also available. In these editions, oil pastel is applied across a grid of six prints, allowing layered doodles to flow across each composition as though drawn on a single continuous surface. Inspired by the spontaneous drawings Hong Yi creates with her son Micah, the imagery includes rockets, planets, excavators, airplanes, alligators, fruits, and other objects from his current obsessions, capturing the artist’s experience of rediscovering the world through her child’s eyes.

𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, an installation by Red Hong Yi, presented as part of I’m a Mum?!, is a documentative display comprising 300 baby bottles of varying brands and sizes, representing the approximate number of feeds a newborn requires within a month.

‘’A newborn needs milk every two to three hours, including through the night. It is a cycle that is both exhausting and unceasing, yet carried out with quiet care, forming an invisible and repetitive labour that sustains new life. The assortment of brands also points to the overwhelming field of choices mothers are confronted with, where even something as seemingly simple as selecting a baby bottle becomes a decision layered with pressure, care, and uncertainty.” -

𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿! by Red Hong Yi, a prelude to I’m a Mum?!, is now available as a signed, limited-edition print exclusively through Cultprint.

The work is drawn from the artist’s lived experience of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. The stitched word “MOTHER!” and “C-section” refer to the suturing across the belly and surgical closure, while embroidered handwritten notes capture thoughts recorded before and after birth. Materials inseparable from the everyday periphery of motherhood, objects often obscured by the labour they support, are part of the composition on unprimed canvas to convey vulnerability and emotional honesty.

This Mother’s Day, join Red Hong Yi for an afternoon of reflection, gently holding the in-between moments of early motherhood.

In conversation with Ling Yah () from So This Is My Why (), Red Hong Yi () opens up her journey into motherhood, its shifts, repetitions, and the quiet, often unseen labour that shapes her days. The session will be followed by a book signing of 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘉𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘠𝘪, alongside the launch of her calendar book 𝘐𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘈 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦?, which captures the first 30 days with her newborn.
